Oorus Privacy Policy

Oorus does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter into Oorus, including payment and debt names, amounts, currencies, dates, notes, and your payment history, is stored only on your iPhone. The app has no accounts, no sign-up and no servers of its own. We never see your data.

The one network request

To show a combined total across currencies, Oorus downloads the day's public European Central Bank reference exchange rates from api.frankfurter.dev. The request asks only for the rates. Nothing about you or your payments is sent with it, and it carries no identifier. As with any request on the internet, the rate service receives your device's IP address, as described in its own policy. Oorus keeps the downloaded rates on your device for up to 12 hours.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by iOS on your iPhone. They are not sent through any server, and Oorus does not use push notifications.

No analytics, ads or tracking

Oorus contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Children

Oorus does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Deleting your data

You can delete any payment or debt inside the app. Deleting Oorus from your iPhone removes all of its data from the device. If your iPhone backups are turned on, Apple's iCloud or computer backups may include Oorus's data, under your own Apple account and Apple's privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If Oorus ever starts collecting data, this page and the app's App Store privacy details will be updated before that version is released.
